2017 Ford Escape Bolt Pattern & Wheel Specs
I made this page as the wheel-fitment reference I would want beside me when comparing wheels for Alice, our 2017 Escape SE. The important point is that a wheel can share the same 5 x 108 pattern and still be the wrong wheel for the Escape.

The bolt-pattern and center-bore values are handy when shopping, but I still use the wheel manufacturer's vehicle-fitment catalog before ordering. Aftermarket wheel designs can require different seat shapes or vehicle-specific hardware even when the basic dimensions look right.
Common factory tire and wheel combinations
Depending on trim and equipment, 2017 Escapes are commonly seen with 17-, 18- and 19-inch wheel packages. Tire sizes seen across the range include 235/55R17, 235/50R18 and 235/45R19. The tire-information placard on the specific Escape is the best starting point for the size and pressure that vehicle was built with.

Offset and wheel width affect fitment too
Offset changes where the wheel sits relative to the hub, suspension and body. A wheel that moves too far inward can reduce suspension clearance, while one that moves too far outward can create body clearance and steering-geometry problems. Wheel width affects those clearances too.
That is why I would not choose an aftermarket wheel from bolt pattern alone. A wheel retailer or qualified tire shop should be able to confirm the complete fitment for the 2017 Escape and the exact tire size being used.
What are hub-centric rings?
Some aftermarket wheels are made with a larger center opening so one wheel design can fit several vehicles. A correctly sized hub-centric ring may be specified by the wheel manufacturer to match that wheel to the Escape's hub. The need for a ring depends on the wheel itself, so it is not something every replacement wheel automatically needs.
Original-style lug nuts can swell
One wheel issue does not show up in a fitment chart: the capped original-style lug nuts can become distorted as they age. That happened on Alice. The outside of the lug nuts swelled enough that the normal socket became extremely difficult to use.

Wheel torque is a separate specification
The 5 x 108 bolt pattern tells you how the mounting holes are arranged. It does not tell you the wheel-fastener torque. Ford lists 100 lb-ft (135 N·m) for the original-style M12 x 1.5 fasteners on the 2017 Escape.

Before buying used or aftermarket wheels
- Confirm the seller or manufacturer lists the wheel for a 2017 Ford Escape.
- Confirm bolt pattern, center bore, offset and wheel width rather than checking only one dimension.
- Confirm the wheel's load rating is suitable for the vehicle.
- Confirm the correct fastener seat and hardware with the wheel manufacturer or tire shop.
- Check that the chosen tire size is suitable for the wheel and vehicle.
